Tatgu chocolates are Low in Glycemic Index (G.I.) value

The Glycemic Index (GI) is a relative ranking of carbohydrate in foods according to how they affect blood glucose levels. Carbohydrates with a low GI value (55 or less) are more slowly digested, absorbed and metabolised and cause a lower and slower rise in blood glucose and, therefore insulin levels.

Tatgu 85% Dark Chocolate couverture and White Chocolate couverture tested to have low GI value.

Chocolate Formulated with Diabetic-Friendly, 100% sugarcane derivative

Is there a way to produce chocolate that is healthier for everyone? The answer is yes.

For example, we have formulated white chocolate products with less than 10% sugar composition using 100% sugarcane derivative.

This enables the chocolate to retain its sweetness, yet remain far healthier than the overwhelming majority of chocolate available on the market which contain an average of 45 percent of sugar.

This is big news for the future of chocolate, and this could pave the way for harnessing the benefits of chocolate without the problems that come with reduced sugar consumption.
